At
the Wheat-Free Gourmet, we celebrate “life after
wheat.” Our founder and director, Mary Capone,
came to this idea honestly. Her gluten intolerance combined
with her love for gourmet cooking, baked the idea that
a restrictive diet could still be fun and full of scrumptious
delights.
Over
the years, she formulated many outstanding gluten-free
recipes. Her Around the World menus includes
Italian, French, Pan Asian, South of the Border and
Savory American cuisines. Mary’s baking recipes
are tried and true and include flaky pie crusts, tender
and moist cakes, pizza crust, textured breads, and award-winning
desserts.
Mary
comes from a long line of great Italian chefs and restaurateurs.
She has owned and operated several food enterprises
including Marie’s Crepes, a Parisian- style crepe
kiosk, and The Wheat-Free Gourmet, featuring gourmet
100% gluten-free desserts. Her love for the kitchen
and passion for scrumptious recipes makes her a well-versed
instructor. |
